With one month to go before the Olympics open on Aug. 8, Beijing was putting the final touches to its preparations Tuesday, although pollution worries and questions over media freedom remain.
After finishing second in the 10,000 earlier at the Olympic trials, Kara Goucher finished the 5,000 in 15 minutes, 1.02 seconds. She and teammate Shalane Flanagan will compete in both events at the Beijing Games.
